What these disclosures cover
This document applies to Amerigo Health LLC and to this website, amerigohealth.com, and to nothing else.
Amerigo Health LLC operates other brands and websites, and holds interests in other companies. Some of those are trade names of Amerigo Health LLC itself. Others are genuinely separate businesses. Either way, each publishes its own disclosures for its own site, and those are the ones that apply to you when you are there.
That includes Transformation Health, which Amerigo Health LLC operates, and any initiative, application, publication, or business in which Amerigo Health LLC holds an interest or ownership, whether existing now or added later.
If you follow a link from this site to one of those properties, or to any third party, you are leaving the reach of this document. Read the disclosures published there. They are the ones that apply to you once you arrive.
What this site is
Amerigo Health publishes evidence-based guidance about health and longevity. It builds and operates health companies, makes tools, and invests. This website is the publishing side of that.
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Who it is for
This site is intended for adults in the United States. Some of what we publish concerns prescription medication, emerging therapies, and other subjects that are not suitable for minors. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
What this site is not
This site does not provide medical care, and nothing on it is medical advice.
Amerigo Health LLC does not practise medicine, prescribe, or dispense medication, and neither do its initiatives. Reading this site does not create a provider-patient relationship with anyone. Content here is general information for a general audience, and it cannot account for your history, your medications, or your circumstances.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your health, medications, supplements, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read here. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Accuracy, and what we do when we are wrong
We cite our sources and we phrase claims to match the strength of the evidence behind them. We also get things wrong. When we do, we correct the article, mark it, and record it on our corrections page.
Evidence moves. An article that was accurate when published may not stay accurate, and we do not guarantee that everything here is current at the moment you read it.
Links to other sites
We link out a great deal: to research, to government sources, and to other publications. We do not control any of those and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. A link is not an endorsement, and following one takes you outside these terms.
Transformation Health is different, and we should say so rather than bury it in that list. It is a brand that Amerigo Health LLC operates, not a third party, so of course we have an interest in it. It runs on its own site, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and those are the ones that apply to you once you arrive there. Ours stop at our boundary.
Commercial relationships
Where we have a commercial interest in something we point you toward, we say so plainly, including when the company in question is our own. Transformation Health is an Amerigo Health company, and we disclose that wherever it appears.
Content and intellectual property
The writing, design, charts, and code on this site belong to Amerigo Health LLC unless attributed otherwise. Data we present from public sources, such as the CDC/NCHS series, belongs to those sources and is cited accordingly.
You are welcome to quote us with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions, present our work as your own, or use our name, logo, or brand to imply an endorsement or relationship that does not exist.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to break the law, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, to disrupt it for other people, or to scrape it in a way that degrades it for others.
What you send us
If you email us, or use a form on this site once forms are operational, you are sending us information voluntarily.
Please do not send us personal health information. We are not your healthcare provider, we cannot advise you on your situation, and a message to us does not create a provider-patient relationship. Nor should you send us anything confidential or commercially sensitive; treat email to us as you would a letter, not a privileged communication.
We invite corrections, and we mean it. If you tell us we have misread a paper or misstated a figure, we may act on it, publish the correction, and credit you. We will not treat what you send as confidential unless you ask us to.
Suspending access
We may restrict or refuse access to anyone who breaks these terms or interferes with the operation of the site or with other people’s use of it.
Your responsibility to us
If your use of this site in breach of these terms leads to a claim against Amerigo Health LLC, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Disclaimers and limits
This site is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amerigo Health LLC disclaims warranties of any kind regarding the site and its content, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amerigo Health LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited.
Copyright complaints
We cite heavily and try to do it properly: quoting briefly, attributing clearly, and linking to the source rather than reproducing it. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, write to info@amerigohealth.com with enough detail to identify the work and the material in question, and we will look at it promptly and remove anything we should not have used.
The usual clauses
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between us about your use of this site. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours if the business is reorganised or acquired, in which case these terms travel with it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
