Information, not medical advice

Amerigo Health publishes. It does not practise medicine, and neither do its initiatives. This page says what that means for you as a reader.

In plain words

We are not your doctor, and nothing on this site is medical advice.

Amerigo Health publishes, builds, and invests. It does not practise medicine, diagnose, treat, prescribe, or dispense, and neither do its initiatives. Reading this site does not make anyone here your healthcare provider.

We write for a general audience. That means what you read here cannot account for your medical history, your medications, your allergies, your pregnancy status, or anything else specific to you. Talk to a licensed clinician before acting on any of it, and never delay or disregard their advice because of something you read here.

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not rely on this site.

The formal disclaimer

The content on Amerigo Health is for general informational and educational purposes only and is not medical advice. It does not create a provider-patient relationship and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your health, medications, supplements, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here.

Emergencies

This site is not for emergencies. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait, and do not rely on anything published here.

Who provides care, and who does not

Amerigo Health LLC does not practise medicine, prescribe, or dispense medication. Neither do its initiatives.

Transformation Health, an Amerigo Health company, asks the questions that matter and connects people with independent, licensed providers. Those providers make every clinical decision, including whether any treatment is appropriate for a given person. They are independent of us, and their clinical judgement is theirs.

What we publish, and how to read it

We write for a general adult audience. That means our content cannot account for your medical history, your current medications, your allergies, your pregnancy status, or anything else specific to you. A finding that holds across thousands of trial participants may not apply to you at all.

We cite our sources so you can check them, and we phrase claims to match the strength of the evidence. Where evidence is thin, mixed, or unsettled, we say so. Where we cover emerging areas, we state regulatory status rather than implying approval that does not exist.

We do not publish protocols, dosing, titration schedules, or sourcing instructions for medications, supplements, or peptides. Those are decisions for a licensed provider who has examined you.

Compounded medications

Where our content discusses compounded medications: compounded medications are not FDA-approved products. They are prepared by US-based, state-licensed compounding pharmacies and have not been independently evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. All prescriptions require evaluation by an independent, licensed healthcare provider.

Corrections

Evidence changes and we make mistakes. When an article turns out to be wrong in a way that matters, we fix it, mark it, and log it on our corrections page.
