Corrections

What we got wrong

When we publish something that turns out to be wrong, we fix it in place, mark the article, and record it here.

The policy

We correct in place rather than quietly re-editing. When a published article changes in a way that affects what it claims, three things happen: the article is fixed, a dated note is added at the foot of that article saying what changed, and the correction is listed here.

Typographical and formatting fixes do not get a note. Anything that changes a fact, a figure, a citation, or a conclusion does.

The log

There are no corrections to report.

Nothing on this site has been published long enough to need one. When that changes, this page becomes the record.
