What we collect, which is almost nothing

This site runs no analytics, sets no cookies, and loads no third-party trackers. That is unusual enough to be worth stating plainly rather than burying.

The short version

We do not collect personal information from visitors to this site. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no cookies. You can read everything here without telling us anything about yourself.

What this site does not do

To be specific, because vagueness in a privacy policy is usually hiding something:

  • No cookies. This site sets none, of any kind, including “essential” ones.
  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no self-hosted analytics either. We do not know how many people read a given page.
  • No advertising or social pixels. No Meta pixel, no conversion tracking, no retargeting.
  • No browser storage. Nothing is written to local storage or session storage.
  • No fingerprinting, and no attempt to identify you across visits or sites.
  • No accounts, logins, or profiles.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information. There is nothing to sell, and we would not.

Fonts and images are served from this site rather than from a third-party CDN, so simply loading a page does not report your visit to anyone else.

What is unavoidable

When you request a page, the company hosting this site processes the technical information any web server needs to deliver it, which includes your IP address, the page requested, and your browser’s user-agent string. That is a function of how the web works. We do not combine it with anything, use it to build a profile, or use it for advertising.

This site links out a great deal, mostly to research: journals, PubMed, government sources, and the sites of people whose claims we discuss. It also links to Transformation Health.

When you click any of those, you go to somebody else’s website, which will have its own privacy practices and may collect information we neither see nor control. As stated above, our disclosures stop at our boundary.

Those sites will generally see that the visit came from us. We deliberately limit what that tells them: this site sets a referrer policy of strict-origin-when-cross-origin, which sends only our domain name and not the page you were reading. So a site we link to learns that Amerigo Health referred you. It does not learn that you arrived from an article about, say, lean mass on GLP-1 therapy. On a health site the page title is itself revealing, which is why we restrict it.

Health information

We take a deliberately strict line here, because health data is treated as sensitive under California law, under the Washington My Health My Data Act and its Nevada analogue, and under most state privacy laws now in force.

We do not collect consumer health data on this site. We do not run quizzes, assessments, symptom checkers, or trackers. We do not record what health topics you read about, and because we run no analytics, we could not tell you what you read even if you asked us.

If that ever changes, this policy changes first, and any collection of that kind would be on an opt-in basis.

Forms

The contact form on this site is not currently operational. It has no backend, renders disabled, and submits nothing. Newsletter sign-up is likewise not open. If you want to reach us, email is the reliable route: info@amerigohealth.com.

When those are wired up, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and why, before they accept a single submission.

Your rights

Several states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and others, give you rights to access, correct, delete, and restrict the use of personal information, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising.

We hold no personal information about site visitors, so in practice there is nothing to access or delete. If you have emailed us, we hold that correspondence, and you can ask us to delete it. Write to info@amerigohealth.com and we will confirm what we hold and act on the request.

We honour browser opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control. Since we run no trackers, there is nothing for them to switch off, but the commitment stands if that changes.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If our practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly absorbed, in keeping with our corrections policy.
